Health and Social Care – Looking After the Teachers’ Health and Well-being!
Students in Health and Social Care continued to run Health and Well-being clinics last week. Fourteen members of staff volunteered their free time to have their prior medical and lifestyle information assessed and their BMI, hip / waist ratio, blood pressure, peak flow, body fat composition and recovery pulse rate measured. This information was used to develop an individual health and well-being report. Students also were able to use their knowledge to give advice on ways staff could improve their health through lifestyle changes.
The students remained professional throughout and staff members were very positive about the experience. Thank you to everyone who supported us. Well done girls, I’m proud of you!
