Age UK Christmas Hamper Appeal 2011
Year 9 enjoyed a festive last assembly of the year as Mr Trevor Mills came from AGE UK to receive the hampers that students had made and to explain how these will benefit elderly people in Leicester over the Christmas period.
In all, the money collected through fundraising enabled students to put together 326 hampers! This fantastic figure is a reflection of the tremendous initiative, commitment and determination of both the students and their tutors. The quality of the hampers in terms of the contents, wrapping and personal Christmas cards and messages was an inspiration.
A special mention to 9.9 and 9.4 for collecting 54 and 55 hampers respectively. A great effort! Well done, Year 9. You have made a real difference!
