Basic Skills Quality Mark Awarded for Fifth Time

We are pleased to inform you that Sir Jonathan North Community College has been awarded the Quality Mark for Secondary Schools for the fifth time.  This is in recognition of its improving provision, practice and performance in the basic skills of literacy and numeracy.  The feedback we received by the assessor was incredibly positive:

`This is a clear-thinking, reasoning, highly successful school when it comes to Basic Skills.’

`The atmosphere and ethos of the school … were exemplary: … The most striking thing for me … was the high level of higher order questioning and the degree of challenge within lessons.  Clearly, both teachers and children expect this and it shows:’

`I sensed a wave of enthusiasm across the whole school … The atmosphere is truly inclusive’.
