DeMontfort University

On Wednesday 16 November 40 Year 10 students spent the afternoon at  DeMontfort University. The aim of the trip was to give students a university experience. The group started with a taster lecture on Psychology and they learnt about Cognitive Psychology. They did a number of activities to test what information they process. The results of this were quite alarming as 75% of the group didn’t notice a moonwalking bear walking across a basketball pitch as they were too focused on counting the passes of a ball between players!

After this, students had lunch in the campus centre, followed by a campus tour with a student ambassador, which gave them the opportunity to ask questions about university life.

The day ended with a quiz and more questions and answers about university life. We all had a very enjoyable and informative day and as always the students were incredibly well behaved. Thank you ladies!
