INCA Year 9

Congratulations to the Year 9 INCA Photography students for a very successful project. Ten Year 9 students were nominated to be part of INCA which ran from Monday 10 until Wednesday 12 October, were students worked with photography artist in residence, Emily Crofton. The brief was to take photographs using an SLR camera on the theme “Closer to Nature.” Students then learnt how to develop their own images using Sir Jonathan North’s  black and white dark room.

On the first day, students experimented by taking photograms of insects and flowers which involved using the dark room facilities but no cameras!

On the second day students visited Knighton Park to capture images of animals and wildlife, experimenting with focus and aperture settings.

The photographs were developed the following day and have been exhibited in the De Montfort building.

Congratulations to the following photography students who all worked extremely well together and were a credit to Sir Jonathan North:

Hannah Haley, Natasha Hope, Ella Louise Harrison, Bllaize Persico, Bethany Knott, Charlie Lavin, Georgina Cadney, Halima Variava, Marianne Lay and Isabella Strachan.
