English Schools Athletics Competition
At the end of the summer term Sally Preston and Taisha Thompson Gregory competed for Leicestershire and Rutland Schools Athletics Team in Gateshead.
Taisha was 4th in the under 15 Junior Girls Long Jump with a new personal best of 5.31 m. Sally however was unsuccessful in achieving a place in the top 8. Nevertheless, on the following day Sally competed in a local competition achieving a personal best of 35.36m in the discus which ranks her 8 in the country in the intermediate age group.
Well done to both and congratulations to Sally who once again has been selected for the Leicester City Girls Centre of Excellence for football for the 4th year running.
