Friday 9th July was a bright sunny day and we were hoping it would stay that way after last year’s wash out. The events were frantic and students were in good voice as the day progressed. SJNCC Record Results
The new academic year has started positvely with an excellent number of examination and test results. 72% of year 11 students achieved 5 or more A*- C GCSE passes in all subjects and 62% of students achieved 5 A*- C GCSE passes including English and Maths. We were delighted that so many students will now progress to the course of their choice at a local Further Education or Sixth Form...
SJNCC Students DNA Testing
Year 9 students spent an exciting day in the genetics laboratories at the University of Leicester. Student’s learnt about the human genome, cloning of Dolly the Sheep, extracting DNA, the DNA database, DNA fingerprints and genetic engineering.
